On Sunday, August 23, 2026, Scott Lehr (Founding Pastor) shared with the church that his assignment at Southbridge is complete. In October of 2026, the elders of Southbridge began the search for Southbridge's new lead pastor.

While the timing of a pastoral search can be difficult to predict, these are the milestones we're working toward. We're committed to a thoughtful, thorough process while maintaining forward momentum. Throughout each phase, we'll keep you informed about our progress, what's happening, and what to expect next.

Phase I (thru Christmas 2026)

CLARIFY
Gather input from the congregation and finalize the lead pastor profile and job description.

Phase II (January – February 2027)

GATHER
Publicly post the position and begin receiving applications.

Phase III (March – May 2027)

DISCERN
The search team will interview candidates, check references, and invite promising candidates for on-site interviews.

Phase IV (Early Summer 2027)

DECIDE
The search team will recommend a final candidate for the elders to consider and decide on.

Phase V (Summer 2027)

WELCOME
Welcome our new lead pastor and his family into the life of Southbridge.
